What should I expect from each session?
Students will work with me one-on-one addressing skills they need to develop. Â In addition to the tutoring session, I offer two weekly check-ins. Â Students can e-mail me for help concerning their studies.
Do you review only homework assignments?
I do help students with their homework, but I also reinforce skills they need to improve.
Will I be updated on my child's progress?
I will send a tutoring update to parents'/guardians' email after two sessions.  Of course, parents/ guardians should contact me if they would like to discuss their child's progress sooner.
Will tutoring guarantee an "A" grade?
Although I would like to see all my students earn an "A," I cannot guarantee  an "A" on report cards. My purpose and goal is to be another support system for the students I tutor. I want to teach students how to read, write, and analyze texts as a skill they will need in college and for their future careers.
How do I get started?
Before we begin tutoring sessions, I like to meet prospective pupils. I schedule a time to meet you and the tutee to determine if we’d make a good fit. During this meeting, we will discuss my tutoring philosophy, your child’s strengths, area(s) to improve, and short-term and long-term goals for tutoring. This process usually takes 20 to 30 minutes. Typically, parents/guardians book a tutoring slot at the end of this meeting. If parents/guardians prefer to have a phone conversation to discuss tutoring in lieu of meeting, I am happy to accommodate this request.
